Let us take the headache out of replacing your Macbook Battery..
The IT Guys offer a Macbook Battery Replacement service to the Perth Region, Western Australia for Macbooks’, Macbook Pro and Macbook Air depending on the model number (See below)
Our Batteries and workmanship are guaranteed for 12 months, work is carried out by Apple trained and authorised Technicians.
If your Macbook is less than 5 years old, then we recommend taking your computer to an Apple Store or an Apple Authorised Repairer.
We CAN source, test and fit replacement batteries only for the following Macbook’s that are 5 years or older.
Our prices are more expensive than you will find on eBay but our batteries are from reputable Apple component supplier and come with 12 month replacement or money-back guarantee. Apple do not supply genuine battery replacements for models 5 years or older.
If you wish to take the risk and purchase your own battery, we will happily fit it for $78 but we will not give any guarantees regarding the battery or fitting. Our fitting fee is payable even if your supplied battery is faulty when we fit it. Removing a faulty battery will cost you a further $78

You can find the Macbook Identifier or “Serial Number” as follows.
Turn your Macbook over and look for the word “Serial” followed by the Serial Number
or click on the Apple symbol in the top left of your screen and click on Apple >> “About this Mac”
The Serial number will confirm that we quote you on the correct battery
Some battery models we keep in stock, others have to be ordered in and may take up to 14 days to reach Perth. Once here, replacing the battery can be done within the hour.
To order a battery we require a 50% deposit with the balance payable upon collection or fitting.
We CANNOT supply batteries for the following
Macbook Pro Retina
13″ Model A1425,A1437
13″ Model A1502, A1493 – Year 2013,14,15
15″ Model A1398,A1417 – Year 2012-2013
15″Model A1398,A1494 – Year Late 2013,14,15
Macbook Retina models have the battery glued into the case and removing them is not recommend and POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS as they may explode.
Apple may quote to replace the whole bottom case, including the battery but it works out to be very expensive and may not be economical (better to buy a new computer)
So you suspect your Macbook, Macbook Pro or Macbook Air has a faulty battery!!
That’s probably because it’s not holding a charge or not holding a charge as long as it used to. But to be sure, check the following by first clicking on the Battery Status indicator as referenced above.
If everything is OK, the status should indicate that the battery is charged and healthy as below
This can be confirmed by checking the status of the battery by clicking on the top left “Apple” >> “About This Mac” >> “System Report” >> “Power”
Under “Condition” it will tell you if the Battery is “Normal” or “Service Battery” or “Replace Now” … if either of the last two status,
Yes, you need a new battery fitting.
If No, there is another problem, probably your MagSafe Charger or maybe a failed OS update.
