Testing whether or not Internet is available in your area does not work, it is a fraud. I am renting a property in Kambalda West WA after ensuring that the Telstra Website told me that I could get the Internet at that address which it did: “Great news ….is available at your address..”. Telstra sent a modem, then the technician came to connect the phone but the modem never made the Internet connection, this resulted in a dispute lodged with the telecommunication ombudsman because even though Telstra was unable to provide the Internet service, they still wanted me to pay monthly for it. After waiting since February 2017 (today 11/8/2017) the LED of the modem has remained solid red (no Internet) and I can only assess the progress of the dispute through the correspondence from the ombudsman office. The email address below does not work either.
