Wi-fi Problems?

Having Problems getting Internet and Wi-Fi throughout your home or office? In the past the majority of homes had one PC/Computer connected by an Ethernet cable to a modem which was connected to a telephone point. Today, this is the exception rather than the rule. With the explosion of personal Wi-Fi enabled devices (iPad, Tablets, laptops); smart-phones (iPhone, Android, Windows); Smart/Internet enabled TVs; Video streaming services (Netflix, Foxtel); Wireless Speakers (Sonos, Bose) and Internet Connected Security Systems; Fast Internet Access is now a necessity in every room and corner of the house and even outside. Smart-Wiring Internet packages offered by many builders and home-automation companies are purely hard-wired solutions, that will provide top-speed internet as long as your TV, Media Player, Computer or device are physically connected to an Ethernet Outlet by an Ethernet Cable (see below) The above solution only allows for the modem/router to produce the Wi-Fi signal in one location (usually the garage or a cupboard, if located in the “hub” or “comms-box” or in a single room) As more home-automation devices become available, Wireless Smart-Wired-Home systems (aka Wi-Fi Internet Access Enabled Homes) as opposed to simple hard-wired smart-home-solutions are becoming de rigueur. We offer 4 solutions: Solution 1:  In an existing smart-wired house, Extend the Wi-Fi network to all corners of your house or office by Utilising Ubiquiti AmpliFi High Density Mesh Routers and Mesh Points Solution 2: Replace Ethernet wall plates with in-wall Wireless Access Points (WAPs) Another solution is to replace the existing ethernet wall-plates socket with a wall-mounted WAP. (in-wall-wap) which provides room-wide wi-fi and includes 4 ethernet ports hidden at the base of each unit. Simply replacing existing ethernet wall plates with Ubiquiti in-wall plates, turns each wall-plate into a Wi-Fi hotspot and provides strong Wi-Fi up to 25m from each wall plate.   If no adequate existing ethernet wiring exists, then an electrician is required to install the ethernet cabling. The Ubiquiti WAPs are ideally located on the ceiling, with ethernet cabling being run back to the modem, switch or central hub. Solutions 3 The WAP’s resemble a small flying-saucer and range in size from 160 to 200mm diameter. The WAP’s are strategically located at various points through the house, to provide a strong Wi-Fi signal into the required areas. If the house or office has already been smart-wired or had ethernet wall-plates installed previously, the WAP’s can be plugged into the existing wall-plate … and placed on a floor, under a table or in a cupboard, out of sight. Solutions 4 …but ideally on the ceiling to provide maximum coverage. Connect Unifi WAP’S to ceiling at strategic locations   See our solutions for small units up to multi-storey large homes, by clicking on the links below.
