A Windows 10 Security update is currently crashing computers when you print

11th March 2021

This is caused by Windows Update KB5000802

Please DO NOT install the update ….for now (in a week or so time we are confident Microsoft will have addressed the issue)

If already installed this is how you can uninstall it

In the command prompt, enter the following command:

wusa /uninstall /kb:5000802

or go to Settings > Update & Security > View Update History > Uninstall Updates

and select KB5000802 and click on the “uninstall” button

THE FIX – Finally from Microsoft (22 March 2021)

Look for Microsoft Update KB5001649

Select the version appropriate to your version of Windows 10 and download and run the update manually.

You may also want to try installing KB5001565, KB50015657, KB50015658 depending on your current version of Windows 10, if KB5001649 does not fix the issue.
